The common threads of these three companies are two individuals who have been partners and strategic allies in many successful ventures for over 27 years: Peter Monroe and Mark Rosenfeld. A third partner in the NREV acts as the chief operating officer of VRM: Joseph W. Gaynor, an accomplished real estate lawyer and developer with broad receivership experience.

Peter Monroe has held senior positions in companies dealing with all real estate product types throughout the United States. He has headed major companies developing retail and office real estate, as well as companies dealing in distressed real estate. He has brokered over $500 million in commercial real estate. Monroe has also held senior positions in federal agencies dealing with distressed real estate—notably serving as President of the RTC Oversight Board from 1990 to 1993 and as COO of the Federal Housing Administration (“FHA”). He served as executive director of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Foundation. He has been a member of numerous real estate associations and has spoken widely. He is a graduate of Williams College, Oxford University and Harvard Law School.

Mark Rosenfeld is the Chairman and President of Wilherst Developers, Inc. a national retail real estate development and brokerage firm. He is also a Trustee of Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust (REIT, NYSE). He is the former Chairman & CEO of Jacobson's Stores, Inc., a publicly traded department store chain and former Director of TCF Financial Corporation. With over 30 years of real estate experience. Rosenfeld earned his S.M. from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T., and a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College.
